Marco Guazzone is a very young (23 years old) talented musician (he plays piano) and singer/songwriter. He has started in thinking to be a singer in early 2006, after writing his first songs. Marco is a multi language singer because part of his family is based in London, where he has spent lot of times breathing the music excitement and learning to speak a fluent english but also doing gigs and opening for Jay Brennan. His first appearance to a big audience happened in 2007, when he has been chosen by MTV Italy for a kind of talent show called Operazione Soundwave. He reached a remarkable second position and be encouraged to follow his instinct to become a musician and singer. His first song released by himself couple of years ago on digital was called “Love Will Save Us” and FOX Life TV picked up the song as soundbed for their Valentine's day promo for two consecutive years. Marco has also studied music for film and composition at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, and one of his piano solo composition called “Silent Movie” has been used by BMW for one of their commercial. SunnyBit, an italian indie label, signed him in 2010, and Marco started to write songs in Italian too. The result has been very promising and the label called Steve Lyon asking him to record and produce his debut album due to release sometimes in spring/summer 2012. In the meantime, one of this song has been chosen by Sanremo Festival 2012 (top music TV show in Italy, with average audience of 10 million people in Italy but also broadcasted in several European countries and aired also in US, Canada and South America by RAI International satellite. The song is called “Guasto” and its video was shot into the studio during the recording sessions.
Marco and his band STAG ((Giosuè Manuri, drums; Andrea Benedetti,guitars; Suelo Rinchiusi, bass; Stefano Costantini, trumpet and backing vocals; Marco Guazzone, voice and piano) have already done more than 200 gigs everywhere in Italy, and recently he has opened shows for Azure Ray; Suzanne Vega and Moby amongst the others.
