Bobo Rondelli Bio Top
Bobo was born on 18/03/1963 in Livorno, a city that will inspire his entire artistic career.
In 1992 Bobo Rondelli formed the band “Ottavo Padiglione” (Department of Psychiatry Civil Hospital of Livorno) that reached a big success outside of Tuscany, thanks largely to his own lyrics, ironic and introspective, folk but absolutely real. The most important song is the single entitled "Ho picchiato la testa" which had a good radio airplay and sold over 30,000 copies.
In 1999, after some albums released by major with “Ottavo Padiglione”, Bobo began his solo career.
The 2001, in fact, saw the the release of "Figli del nulla", a record that expresses the personality of the singer-songwriter Bobo, followed a year later by "Disperati, intellettuali ubriaconi" produced by Stefano Bollani, a real success for the critics, in fact in 2001, Bobo Rondelli won Ciampi Award for Best Arrangement.
Then, after a long silence, the 2009 is the year of the rebirth of Bobo and year of release for Live Global, of his new album, "Per amor del cielo" which contains nine inner and deep songs and that reached the finals of Tenco Award.
In the same year the very important film director Paolo Virzì directed the documentary film "L’uomo che aveva picchiato la testa" dedicated to Bobo, who is also actor.
After a long tour in the italian theaters and squares, finally, October 2011 sees the release of the new album "L’ora dell’ormai" new chapter of music through twelve songs and a poem that continues to describe the charming and naive world of Bobo.
