IRON MAIDEN will bring their MAIDEN ENGLAND TOUR to Milan in summer 2013, headlining the event at Fiera Milano Live Rho on Saturday 8th June.

The MAIDEN ENGLAND TOUR marks the third chapter in the History of IRON MAIDEN, a journey which began in 2004 with The Early Days DVD and subsequent 2005 Early Days Tour. Part Two followed in 2008 with the Live After Death DVD and the band embarking on their ground-breaking Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008/9, which saw them play to over two million fans in almost 40 countries flying between shows on five continents on their customised Boeing 757, named Ed Force One, and piloted by vocalist Bruce Dickinson and covered in full by the DVD “Flight 666”.

Now MAIDEN ENGLAND sees the band recreate the stage show of the 1988’s Seventh Son Tour and playing many songs from that legendary tour and the 1989 concert VHS video titled “Maiden England”, which lends its name to this tour.

Bruce Dickinson says,
“We’ve headlined a number of Sonisphere European Festivals in the past, including Italy, UK, Sweden and Spain and there’s always been a terrific vibe at each of them. Thanks to modern technology, we’ve been able to update and improve on the original 1988 production for Maiden England. We will be bringing with us a huge new lightshow, stage set, various incarnations of Eddie, plenty of pyro and all kinds of other exciting stuff for the fans.”

“We know how popular the History of Maiden Tours are with fans of all ages and we will be bringing with us the full production we had on tour in North America earlier this year. We had a huge amount of fun with the set list* there as we got to play songs we had not played in a very long time like Seventh Son, The Prisoner and Afraid To Shoot Strangers, as well as fan favourites like The Trooper, Aces High, The Clairvoyant, The Number Of The Beast, Wasted Years and Run To The Hills. The opening leg of the tour was so enjoyable for the whole band, we’re really looking forward to taking this whole show to our fans around Europe”.
